Are you stuck and desperate? You don’t really know who you are, what you are doing in this world… And unconsciously, you type “Who am I” into the search engine and accidentally see to this article.
Yes! I was just like you 2 years ago, but thanks to the self-positioning strategies I learned from a teacher – I found myself again. Today, at Lotusbuddhas.com, I will share with you my secrets to help you find yourself and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Who am I?
Two years ago, i always wonder to myself: “What is happiness?” Why do I see everyone around me enjoying life with happiness, while I am not? Does having a lot of money really make us happy? Does the joy of life truly come to us when we have everything, travel and shop freely… But!
Dear friends: Have you ever tried asking yourself the question: “Who am I? What have I done in the past that makes me ask myself this question now? What should I do from now on? And what is my mission in this world? Why am I alive?” Have you ever tried asking yourself this question and answering it for yourself? I want to change my current life. I want to find my true self.
Perhaps in most of our lives, we have always been programmed with a life like everyone else around us, that is to be born, go to school, graduate, start a family, raise children, and then die. Have you ever thought that you don’t want to be part of the crowd and want to live a life not pre-programmed like everyone else?
French President Charles De Gaulle once said, “Nothing great is accomplished without great people, and people are only great if they are determined to be so.”
What we can or cannot do, what is feasible or not, seldom originates from our actual abilities. It has much more to do with our belief in “who I am”. When faced with a problem that we “feel” we cannot overcome, we build a barrier – an identity or an image that limits and weakens ourselves.
So what is our true identity? It is simply the belief that we possess certain differences from others. Our abilities may not change, but how much of our potential we utilize depends entirely on how we shape our identity. So, who am I?
There are many ways to describe ourselves – through emotional states, professions, positions, collections, roles, behaviors, possessions, beliefs, appearances, past experiences, and even those things that we are not.
The identity of our friends also tends to influence us. Usually, how we perceive them reflects our beliefs about ourselves.
Discovering ourselves requires recognizing and defining “who I am”. Additionally, self-discovery involves managing ourselves. Self-management must follow the progression of self-identification and must continually redefine ourselves in a dynamic and open world today.
In everyday life, we are constantly asked many questions about the future, such as:
- What are your hopes and dreams?
- Where do you see yourself in 10 or 15 years?
- How will you live the next 10 years to create the desired future?
- What is most important to you, both now and in the long term?
- What can you do to shape your own destiny?
Answering these questions requires us to understand ourselves and manage ourselves. As Boris Pasternak once said, “We are born to live, not to prepare for life.” Therefore, we need to know who we are in this life. This is precisely the process of discovering ourselves.
The day comes when you know who you want to be and what you want to do to fulfill your mission in this world, that is the day you will have to start over and change everything.
What do you love? Explore it yourself and don’t be afraid!
The most important thing is that you must ask yourself what you feel passionate about and what you love. Sometimes, the things you’re passionate about may not bring the success you desire, but you still have to keep searching and exploring it yourself, not anyone else, or just keep moving forward to find your true self.
If you love something, pursue it and have faith in your choices. There’s nothing impossible in this world, so you can’t stop, doubt, or turn back on your search journey. You only have one way to go, which is to keep moving forward. Do what you believe is right, follow what your heart tells you, and someday you will find your true self.
Get out of your comfort zone
Have you ever thought about where the starting and ending points of a circle are? Of course, a circle doesn’t have a beginning or an end, just like walking on a path without a destination, you won’t know where to go. That’s why if you still want to explore something interesting, want to be more successful, want to seek out new challenges to find out your full potential, then you should do it now.
To me, the so-called safe circle is not as safe as people think. You should remember that nothing exists forever, everything will change and disappear within a finite time. Therefore, you should be aware that your life is also limited, so why confine yourself to that circle?
Do you feel bored living a repetitive life? Break it, instead of living in that circle, why not live on a straight line moving forward, or on your own highway? Discover your own path and don’t rely on anyone.
Be yourself, dare to be different, and don’t care too much
One thing I want to say is that we shouldn’t pay too much attention to others. No one can live our lives for us, we only have one life to live, so let’s live true to ourselves and not be afraid of being different from those around us.
Don’t overthink about what’s happening around us, we’re simply living our own lives and not someone else’s. If you have something you want to do, do it to the best of your ability, try harder, and remember that those who dare to be different are the ones who succeed.
Just live as your true self, my friend!
Be confident in yourself
Never listen to others when they tell you that you can’t do something. Self-belief is the most important thing for all of us. If we don’t believe in ourselves, then no one else can believe in us either. If you experience failure, start again from the beginning and never give up. As long as you have faith in life, you will have faith to try again.
When we fail and lose something, God will give us something even more precious in return. All great things and inventors in human history have failed thousands of times before succeeding, and the reason they try again is because they have faith in what they are doing. Therefore, always believe that you can do it and what you do is completely possible.
Stop blaming
Young people these days often blame external factors for their failures, forgetting that the main reason for their failure is themselves, not someone else.
Take a moment to reflect on yourself and stop blaming others. Think about why successful people can achieve what we cannot. Is it because we spend too much time on unnecessary things?
We often think that successful people are born with innate talents, but why not consider the renowned scientist Thomas Edison? Thomas Alva Edison was an inventor and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced life in the 20th century. Our great scientist was once considered foolish and crazy.
Start answering the questions “Why?
Everything that happens to us has a reason behind it, and we should ask ourselves why. We should ask ourselves, “Why is this happening?” Why should we do this and why should we not do that? Analytical skills are essential for all of us.
Proper analysis will help you understand the problem and realize that the majority is not always right and the minority is not always wrong. Don’t believe everything someone says as the truth until you have a full understanding of everything. “Why?” is always an important question, even when you ask yourself, it is completely accurate.
Always think positive
Positive thoughts help you take positive actions and keep moving forward with confidence. If you replace positive thoughts with negative ones, your life will be like a gloomy sky without any sunshine.
When you face any situation, always think positively because when one door closes, another one will open for all of us. In this world, if we lose something, we will be compensated with something equally valuable. There will always be fairness for all of us.
Take action
Taking action is the only thing you must do if you want to know who you are. We cannot sit there and know what profession we are suitable for among more than 7 billion people in this society. You will have to step out into society, face new challenges and learn to improve yourself every day.
Instead of asking others if you like this, do you fit in with that, or if you want to do this, should you learn that? Instead of asking others, you should find the answer for yourself. Take action and remember to never give up.
Express your gratitude
All the people who appear in our lives are predetermined, and all the people who come to us will give us valuable lessons, whether they are good or not, we will learn valuable lessons, from teachers in classrooms to janitors on the streets. Always appreciate and thank them because they are invaluable life lessons.
Tomorrow is a new day and I will be myself
One day soon I will be myself, I am not anyone else. And I can smile to myself: I’ve lived a life that I’ve never regretted. Come on guys, let’s be strong on the journey to know who you are!
